Frank , was the nut still torqued tight on the end of the transmission output shaft? Seems like a strange wear pattern, but one to watch for. I have a acceleration and deceleration belt squeak and the cushions in the rear drive allow the rear pulley to move axially about 1/8 inch each way when gripped at 10 and 3 and pushed and pulled. Will replace the cushions after I get the fairing on and the bike turned around on the lift. Will definitely check the drive pulley at the same time. Max
